State Senate
Illinois is worth fighting for!
“Our state's priorities are upside down and Illinois is at a breaking point. Families are being squeezed by rising taxes, higher prices, and job-killing policies that are driving opportunity out of our state.”
Meet Kate
Kate McGrath was born in Berwyn, adopted through Catholic Charities, and grew up in Evanston and Glencoe before graduating from New Trier High School. She went on to earn a business degree and play volleyball at John Carroll University, then returned home to Illinois to build her career and raise her family.
Kate built a successful career in sales and spent 15 years managing distribution for the American Heart Association. Today, she runs her own insurance business, working directly with families and small businesses across Illinois. Every day she sees how high taxes and rising costs are squeezing people and forcing opportunities out of the state, and she is ready to do something about it.
A proud mom of two and a longtime youth volleyball coach, Kate knows the value of strong schools, strong families, and strong communities. She is running for State Senate to fight for lower taxes, better schools, and more opportunity so Illinois can be a place where families and businesses not only stay but thrive.
