Fighting for Families,
Jobs, and Our Future

Kate McGrath is running for State Senate because Illinois families deserve a government that works for them—not against them. She knows firsthand how rising costs, heavy taxes, and misguided policies are driving people and opportunity out of our state. As a mom, coach, and businesswoman, Kate is committed to lowering the cost of living, supporting small businesses that create jobs, and empowering parents in education. She believes Illinois is worth saving, and she’s ready to fight for the people who are working hard to stay here.

Issues

Lower Taxes, Lower Costs

Illinois families are stretched to the breaking point by high taxes and skyrocketing prices on everyday essentials. From groceries and gas to new delivery taxes on things like diapers and pizza, Springfield politicians keep piling on. Kate will fight to cut taxes, stop wasteful spending, and make Illinois affordable again for the families and seniors who call it home.

Stronger Small Businesses, Stronger Communities

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and our neighborhoods, but too many are closing their doors under the weight of rising costs and job-killing policies. Kate works with small business owners every day and sees firsthand the challenges they face. In Springfield, she will fight for common sense policies that help businesses stay open, create good jobs, and keep opportunity here in Illinois instead of driving it away.

Parents First in Education

Every child deserves access to a great education, no matter where they live or how much their parents make. As a mom and longtime coach, Kate knows kids succeed when families, not politicians or bureaucrats, make the decisions. She will fight to expand school choice, support parents’ voices in education, and make sure every child has the chance to succeed in Illinois.
